Classic
Classic lash extensions are the art of placing one lash extension onto one natural eyelash. Classic lashes are only meant to provide length and shape, not fullness or added fluff. Most people wear classic lashes because they want to achieve a natural lash look that is often be mistaken for having amazing natural eyelashes.
I tell my clients if they want to achieve a “no-extensions-extensions-look” then classics are the style for them! Many people start out with classic lashes if they have never had extensions before.
Classics are a great introductory service because it is generally the lowest price point while you get into the routine of the added after-care that come with making the investment in extensions.
Hybrid
Hybrid lash extensions are exactly how they sound. A mix (or hybrid) of two styles. More specifically, hybrid lash extensions are a blend of classic lashes and volume lashes.
This style is perfect for people who want a more full look than classics, but aren’t completely sold on the bold and dark look of volume lash extensions.
I always consult with my client to confirm where they would like the most volume placed on their eyes. For example, more volume fans in the middle will create an eye-opening look. Whereas more volume fans in the outer corner will create an eye-elongating look (think cat-eye). Once all of the volume fans are placed evenly across the lash line, I then finish off by strategically placing different diameters of classic lashes throughout to finish the look.
Volume
These babies will give you a thick, dark and fluffy lash look! A volume fan consists of 4-8 (or more based on your artist’s preference and your natural lash’s capacity) teenie-tiny eyelash extensions.
If you see 3D, 4D, 6D, 8D, etc… the number stands for how many lash extensions are in the fan, and the D stands for how dimensionl the volume fan is! Generally the diameter (how thick) the individual lash extensions are can range from 0.03 - 0.07 mm. This is way thinner than one of your own natural lashes!
